Want to Visit Our Farm?

We schedule visitors based on the time of year and projects we have going. We are listed in the WWOOF directory for Hawaii farms http://www.wwoofhawaii.org/content/comments.html. We ask that all visitors live as we live while they visit.

Visitors to the farm stay in raised- floor tents under tarps. Depending on the season, we get plenty of rain (and sometimes more than plenty) to grow. However, it's often too wet to live in a tent on the ground. Weather conditions are usually: rainy and cool in the winter (sweatshirt and jacket), warmer and dryer in the spring (often rains once a day or during the night but not for extended periods, still may need a light jacket and pants), warmer and dryer in the summer (shorts and a jacket at night maybe), and windy with tropical storms in the fall.

We don't expect 70 hour work-weeks from visitors! However, we do expect three days of eight hours of work for each week of your stay. In return, we provide one main meal a day while you are working, simple facilities, and a campsite.

We are often asked what to bring for a visit. We suggest working and play clothes and shoes. Be sure to bring pants, a long-sleeved shirt and jackets for work even in the summer time. Some farm chores require protection from plants, the sun, etc. Work shoes can be tennis or hiking shoes. Make sure you don't mind for your work clothes and shoes to get dirty and well-used. Also bring a flashlight, tent light, extra batteries, towels and toiletries, and American money for travel, doing laundry for extended stays, purchasing additional food, etc.

To contact us directly for a WWOOFing visit (volunteer worker on our farm) or as a potential new member of our community, you can email us at [email protected] or call us at 808-443-3599. Remember if you call that we are located in Hawaii so call us when we would be awake! We don't guarantee a response if you email, but you'll more than likely catch us if you call.
